CREMONINI: The new "Chef Express" premises inaugurated in the Pavia station.

The Cremonini Group has inaugurated the new "Chef Express" bar/cafeteria within the Pavia railway station, where a flow of about 8,700,000 passengers is recorded each year.

A quality service provided with an innovative format and meticulous restyling of the interior to offer a comfortable environment and modern design, perfectly in line with the refurbishment of the building recently carried out by Centostazioni, the company responsible for the valorisation and management of 103 Italian railway stations.

The "Chef Express" bar was devised by Cremonini to offer the clientele a vast choice of products, with well defined areas: from the cafeteria to the patisserie, gastronomy to the sweet and salted snack department, in addition to a well-stocked market zone. Within the premises there is also an open refrigerator window, called Frigosnack, for classic take-away products (sandwiches, snacks, fruit salads, yogurt, juices and drinks).

The premises, which cover a total surface area of 165 m2 (90 m2 of which reserved for tables with 20 seats), can serve about 500,000 customers per year.

Cremonini's catering division achieved total consolidated revenues of 444.1 million Euro in 2007. The Group is the leader in Italy in the station buffets market of the commercial catering sector with its presence in 46 railway stations, of which 9 are main stations. The Group is also present in 4 airports (Rome Fiumicino, Cagliari, Palermo and Parma) and in the motorway catering sector: to date there are 37 catering areas managed by the Group. Cremonini is the 2nd operator in Europe in the on-board train catering market, with over 700 trains served daily in 8 countries.

Cremonini, with over 8,200 employees, is one of the largest food groups in Europe and operates in three business areas: production, distribution and catering.

The Group, which had total revenues of 2,482.4 million Euro in 2007, is the leader in Italy in the production of beef and meat-based transformed products (Inalca JBS and Montana) and the marketing and distribution of food products to the food service sector (MARR). It also has a significant presence in the catering sector, commercial (Roadhouse Grill), on-board trains and in railway stations, airports and motorway service areas (Chef Express).
