INALCA JBS HAS REPORTED THE INTRUSION INTO ITS INFORMATION SYSTEM TO THE POSTAL POLICE, WITH THE THEFT AND MANIPULATION OF SENSITIVE CORPORATE DATA.

PRESS RELEASE

During the course of an Inalca JBS Board of Directors meeting today the Chairman, Paolo Boni, told the directors and Board of Statutory Auditors that a statement of complaint was presented to the competent authorities on 14 September following the discovery of unauthorised accesses to the company's information system.

Although the methods and consequences of this illegal access are at the moment being investigated by the competent police authorities, what has been established is that a sizeable volume of sensitive corporate data has been stolen and manipulated.
The persons responsible for this illegal access utilised an IP ascribable to a Brazilian Internet Service Provider in a first phase.

The investigations in progress have evidenced that the unauthorised accesses to the Inalca JBS information system were protracted over months and are also linked to access codes attributed to the company's internal users of Brazilian nationality.
