CREMONINI GROUP: "Chef Express" inaugurates two new motorway service areas near Foggia (A14) and Alessandria (A26).

The Cremonini Group has inaugurated the two new "Chef Express" service areas of Gargano Ovest (at Km 542 southbound on the A14 Bologna - Taranto) and Monferrato Ovest (at Km 83 southbound on the A26 Gravellona Toce - Genoa Voltri).

The two areas are newly constructed and required an overall investment of about 2 million Euro: the structures are the same for both premises, with surface areas of 520 m2 and 50 seats. The services offered include a "Mokà" brand Cafeteria, "Leone" brand Snack corner and "Mercatino Crai" market area.

The areas on the motorway network are open 24 hours a day. Over 500.000 customers are expected to be served annually when fully operative, with overall revenues of about 1.5 million Euro per annum (excluding fuel).

Cremonini presently manages 37 service areas throughout the Italian motorway network, 25 of which have been renovated and 4 are in the course of refurbishment (Mirabella Nord and Sud, Vallescrivia Est and Villanova Nord) in connection with the plan to update to the new Chef Express catering model launched in 2007.

Chef Express Motorway Division, the second Italian operator in motorway catering, achieved revenues of 141.0 million Euro (including oil) in 2007.

Cremonini, with over 8,200 employees, is one of the largest food groups in Europe and operates in three business areas: production, distribution and catering.

The Group, which had total revenues of 2,482.4 million Euro in 2007, is the leader in Italy in the production of beef and meat-based transformed products (Inalca JBS and Montana) and the marketing and distribution of food products to the food service sector (MARR). It also has a significant presence in the catering sector, commercial (Roadhouse Grill), on-board trains and in railway stations, airports and motorway service areas (Chef Express).
