MARR is a point of reference to commercial catering operators (restaurants, hotels, bars, tourist villages and resorts) as well as collective catering (canteens, schools, and hospitals), proposing itself as the sole supplier of a wide range of products with various types of conservation (frozen, fresh, at room temperature), capable of ensuring a timely and accurate service and responding to the various and complex needs that characterise the various customer segments served, in a personalised way and quickly.

MARR offers personalised advice to over 55,000 commercial and collective catering customers, assisting them in planning purchases which include more than 25,000 food items. An extensive catalogue of own-brand and exclusive products, a significant range of green, sustainable and Made in Italy products, to which is added a complete range of 8.000 non-food items (cleansing and hygiene products for professional, disposable items for delivery and takeaway, products for mise en place and other equipment for professional catering).
MARR’s sales mix is made up of 48.1% from various foods, 30.9% from fish products, 16.6% from meat, 4.0% from fruit and vegetables and the remaining 0.4% from kitchen equipment.
MARR is specialised in the sale of fresh and frozen seafood, and for this reason has implemented a “sustainable seafood supply chain” control system certified by a third-party body.

Capillarity and proximity to the customer are MARR’s strength: through its distribution network, the company is present throughout the country and is able to ensure continuous and efficient service. The distribution centers, located throughout the Italian territory from north to south, including the islands, are located on the immediate outskirts of the most important capitals of Italy and preside over the areas with the highest concentration and tourist vocation.
The logistical-distribution network of MARR consists of over 41 distribution centres, some of which with cash&carry, while deliveries are operated through a fleet of 950 trucks, equipped with “temperature control” compartments and an IT system for monitoring deliveries and temperatures capable of guaranteeing the continued maintenance of the “cold chain”. The distribution network and a commercial organisation of 950 sales technicians, ensures timely service to its customers throughout the country, within 24 hours of order.
MARR is a point of reference for non-domestic catering operators thanks to the amplitude of assortment, the competence of the commercial structure, the efficiency of the logistics system, the personalised, timely and accurate service, the ability to innovate products and processes, the development of an integrated model through digital media (“phygital marketing”).

Online catalogue, MARR Academy, myMARR app
The distribution efficiency of MARR is based on the continuous search for technological and digital solutions that allow the customer, just in time, to obtain complete information on the 25,000 products in the price list. MARR’s approach is based on phygital marketing initiatives or a balanced combination of physical approach (sales technicians and distribution network) and digital tools (online catalogue, myMARR app, social networks and periodic newsletters).
MARR’s online catalogue allows the sales force and customers to be always updated on the history of products and the producers and to transfer complete information to the final consumer. In the online catalogue you will find recipes, technical sheets, labels and product images, certifications, sustainability practices, environmental labelling, videos and the history of the producer.
In addition, to increase the service to its customers, MARR has expanded its e-learning platform with the “MARR Academy” project, with some training courses also carried out in collaboration with the University of Bologna.
Interaction with the customer also takes place via the myMARR app, a digital interface of integrated services and functions between MARR and professional catering operators. Through the application, you can access the MARR catalogue online directly, create your own product Wishlist and stay updated on MARR news via push notifications.
The myMARR app also allows you to track orders and make electronic payments quickly and securely.
Distribution sustainability
On the path to sustainability, MARR has considered the implementation of green strategies as a priority in the management of logistic-distribution processes and in the procurement policies of its products, with particular attention to the sustainable fish supply chain for which it has implemented a control system certified by a third-party organisation, with important international certifications (MSC and ASC).
