With approximately 3,000 customers, it exports Italian tradition to more than 50 countries.
Italia Alimentari makes use of modern production plants specialised by type of product and located in the valorisation areas of the typical P.D.O. and P.G.I. branded delicatessen products, which guarantee the authenticity of its production.
Alongside the world of cured meats, Italia Alimentari has embraced the wider market of “eating out-of-home”, which today translates into a vast range of sandwiches, rolls and bacon.

Cured Meats: manufacturers of excellence Made in Italy
Italia Alimentari’s main and most modern processing plant is in Busseto, Parma. They produce cured meats, salami, mortadella, cooked ham, roasts, bacon, coppa, rumps, culatello and other aged specialties typical of Parma’s gastronomic heritage. The plant has the latest technology, with robotic processing and aging systems that produce the sliced or “bar-shaped” cured meats that have made the company a leader in the sector.
In Valtellina, Bresaola from Valtellina P.G.I. and carpaccio is produced. In the Mandatoriccio plant in Calabria, the finest specialities of Calabrian cured meats are produced including spianata and ‘Nduja.

Pre-sliced, snacks and sandwiches: convenience and innovation
In the Gazoldo degli Ippoliti (MN) plant, the company is equipped with technologically advanced and specialised systems for product lines where pre-sliced products in trays, sandwiches, snacks, rolls and bacon are processed. These include a certified gluten-free department for the production of sandwiches.
With a structure made up of 30 slicing and filling lines, the so-called “white rooms”, the company every year packs 160,000,000 trays of sliced products and 50,000,000 snacks and sandwiches.
Inside the Mantua plant there is also a modern department dedicated to the production and processing of pre-cooked grilled bacon mainly intended for the foodservice channel, consisting of 6 production lines that transform over 12,000 tons of fresh bacon.
Bacon: traceability and highest quality standards
Italia Alimentari is Italian leader in the selection and slicing of fresh bacon, with a capacity of 30,000 tons/year, and in the production of traditional Modenese cracklings and lard, through the company Castelfrigo LV in Castelnuovo Rangone (MO). This important upstream integration in the Group’s cured meats sector allows Italia Alimentari to consolidate its leadership in the production of bacon, both fresh and pre-cooked IQF, for the Foodservice and retail.
